A Tow for Joe is a nonprofit being built to cover towing and roadside assistance — tows, jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, fuel — for U.S. military veterans, at no cost to the veteran. One call, a trusted local company rolls out, the veteran pays nothing.

The problem
A breakdown is a small emergency that hits hard when money is tight. A tow can run hundreds of dollars, and predatory operators make a bad day worse. For a lot of veterans, that is the difference between getting to work and losing the week. Nobody who wore the uniform should be stranded over a tow bill.

The technology is in place
Intake and dispatch run on proven, AI-powered dispatch technology already used across the towing industry. The phone gets answered 24/7, the right truck gets sent, and every job is tracked end to end.
The trucks are in place
Chacon Towing of San Antonio, an established local operator, is committed as the founding service partner and will run the program's first truck.
What remains is the wrapper: the nonprofit's governance, veteran verification, and funding structure.
